Super Easy Dairy-Free Biscuits
Looking for a quick and easy dairy-free biscuits recipe? This Bisquick Biscuits recipe is perfect for beginners and seasoned bakers alike! Ready in just 15 minutes, these soft and fluffy biscuits are a great addition to any meal.
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups Bisquick mix
1/3 cup of water
1/4 cup of unsweetened applesauce
1 tablespoon of plant-based margarine
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
Prepare your baking sheet by lightly greasing it or lining it with parchment paper. I prefer to use spray, but if I make more than one batch I wipe the baking tray down in between batches to prevent discoloration from the spray on grease.
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the Bisquick mix, applesauce, water, and margarine. Stir until just combined
Knead dough onto a generously floured surface. Pat the dough out gently to about 1/2-inch to 1 inch thickness. The thicker the fluffier your biscuits will be.
Cut the biscuits: You can use a biscuit cutter, but if you are like me and don't have one I recommend a plastic cup with a thin edge.
Place the biscuits on the baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
I will brush each biscuit with melted margarine to add flavor and coloring halfway through the baking process and again when they are done.
Serve warm with butter, jam, or gravy. Enjoy!
